Today, Geek on a Leash provides expert, passionate, and highly skilled Game Masters to lead immersive tabletop role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons, Blades in the Dark, Vampire: The Masquerade, and Call of Cthulhu. Whether we're running a private celebration, a corporate team-building event, a school program, or a public game night, our mission remains the same: to create unforgettable experiences, foster genuine human connection, and help more people discover the joy of collaborative storytelling.
That philosophy also inspired the creation of The Twenty-Sided Social Club—our growing community of regular players who gather each week to roll dice, share adventures, and build lasting friendships. While Geek on a Leash champions the craft of professional Game Mastering, The Twenty-Sided Social Club exists to cultivate the welcoming and inclusive community that allows both players and Game Masters to flourish together.

Geek on a Leash was founded on a simple belief: tabletop role-playing games have the power to change lives.
Around a gaming table, strangers become friends, creativity flourishes, confidence grows, and unforgettable stories are created together. We wanted to share that experience with as many people as possible by making exceptional tabletop role-playing games accessible to everyone—not just experienced players, but complete beginners, families, schools, businesses, and community groups alike.
After years of seeing incredibly talented Game Masters volunteer countless hours preparing adventures, crafting worlds, and developing their skills, it became clear that the hobby deserved a professional pathway. Exceptional Game Mastering requires far more than knowing a ruleset. It demands storytelling, improvisation, performance, leadership, organisation, and the ability to create safe and welcoming spaces where every player can thrive.
Geek on a Leash was created to help establish Game Mastering as a recognised creative profession, raising the standard of the craft and recognition of the profession while never losing sight of the creativity, inclusivity, and sense of wonder that make tabletop role-playing games so special.

Not unless you want to! Our Dungeon Masters are experienced with running games for people with no experience, Level 20 players, and everyone in between. We will teach you as you go – just sit back and enjoy the game!

Just the spirit of adventure. Everything you need to play will be supplied, though you are welcome to bring your own dice.

While it’s always great to bring a friend along for the adventure, our events are an excellent place to meet new people and join a table on your own.

For Dungeons & Flagons and other events, please visit the Fortress Sydney website.
For Twenty-Sided Social Club events, tickets cost $30 ($20 concessions) for members and $45 for non-members. Membership fees are $60 and charged bi-annually.

Geek on a Leash runs regular Dungeons & Dragons events across Sydney. During the week, you can join the adventure via the Twenty-Sided Social Club. On the weekends, you can find us at Fortress Games.

The Twenty-Sided Social Club (TSSC) is a community-owned, not-for-profit co-operative built around the joy of Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying games. We bring people together in public venues every week to share stories, build friendships, and explore imaginative worlds — all in an inclusive, beginner-friendly space.
